Agios Nikolaos -Cassandra

In the middle of the bay, in the sea, a small piece of land appears. “Kanistro” is its name.It is decorated by a small old white chapel “Ai Nikolas” and “Kosmas & Damianos”.
The chapel has been built with ancient stones of Apollo of Kanastrea.
Incredible colors with unique crystal clear waters ideal for swimming, fishing and diving.

Kanistro is the first peninsula’s southernmost point with an awesome view to the second peninsula Sithonia!

There are beaches on both sides of the chapel, which are suitable for swimming although they are wild and unsupervised.
Keep in mind that there is no shadow shelter to be protected from the sun except in front of the church!
